When I was searching for a place to spend our tenth wedding anniversary, and decided on St. Louis, I checked every hotel in the area with a four plus star rating. I searched many websites and finally settled on the Westin. I checked the price online and then phoned the property and spoke with a wonderful reservation person who gave me her direct line. She discounted the price and then upgraded the room to the club level. It was awesome. We got lost coming into town and the directions were not clear, so I phoned the concierge and he stayed on the line with me until we arrived and personally greeted us after a six-hour drive. My husband became ill on the day of our anniversary and they were short staffed, as well as hosting a team for the sweet sixteen tournament, and the concierge personally went to the store for us to get some medical items from the pharmacy so I would not have to drive at night or get a cab. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower and it was like our own private spa. The club level, although more expensive then a regular room, and still pricey even with the discount, was well worth it. We are trying to coordinate our schedules to take another trip there as we fell in love with the property and the staff.
This hotel made me feel important: They took a genuine personal interest in us.
