The Westin Riverwalk is an absolutely beautiful hotel. When I checked in, everything was perfect; the staff was friendly and the room was spotless and comfortable. When the sun went down, however, the neighborhood turned into a scene from a third-world country during a takeover coup. Sleep was impossible regardless of your location in the hotel. For close to $500 per night, you can do much better.
