I had the following experiences at this hotel:
1. Toilet ran the entire time and the sink trap did not work at all. For a city to be in an extreme drought this was unacceptable. There were no table tents advising the guests that the hotel was substituting paper cups for glass and that the bed would not be changed nightly. I expected this but to not have some signage visible in the room was disconcerting.
2. The towels were scratchy - the soap and shampoo was not replenished daily nor was the coffee
3. A garbage can was not emptied one night
4. The hotel charges $14.95 for internet access (highest I have seen - more and more hotels offer HSIA as free or at most under $10)
5. The decor needs updating. The couch appeared to have burn holes and the chrome tables needed polishing and the wood tables had nicks and scratches
6. The Sundial lounge had slow service and the seating area had chipped plaster
7. Employees tried to load conference tables into the guest elevator - would expect the hotel has freight elevators for that purpose
I am not one to be critical like this but where there were such inconsistencies in the overall level of service and experience I thought I would warn others. The room rate is very high for such a poor experience.
