The location is great. The view is outstanding. The service is pretty good, considering the hotel was still short-staffed due to the hurricane, some services not available. The food in the restaurant was very good. The bartenders in the hotel bar were very nice and accommodating. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. I felt safe here. It was easy to get to many attractions, restaurants, and bars from here.
I am very likely
to return to the The Westin New Orleans Canal Place.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location of this hotel was great for seeing the French Quarter of New Orleans. The rooms were clean, but somewhat out dated and worn looking. The rooms were quiet but noise in the room was carried out into the hall.

to return to the The Westin New Orleans Canal Place.
I might recommend it to friends.

The location and service were excellent. The lobby, restaurant and other common areas were clean and well maintained. I was disappointed with my room, however. Although I had requested a non-smoking room, it was evident that a lot of smoking had occurred in my room. The hotel staff gladly switched my room. The second room did not smell like smoke, but the carpet was horrible with bloodstains, cigarette burns and other various marks. I didn't have the heart to ask to switch rooms again and wore socks or shoes in the room during my stay. I don't know if my experience was representative of all rooms at this hotel or if I just had bad luck.
The hotel provided a quiet atmosphere. The room also included a chair and ottoman, which I used to take it easy in the evenings.

It was a great hotel, clean, safe area, close to the casino. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast at the restaurant was very good.
We traveled with eight women, all of whom are very choosy about were we stay and the cleanliness of rooms and I have to say that we were all very pleased, some of whom are returning to New Orleans and will be staying at this hotel again.
