After paying a more than significant amount of extra money for an "ocean-view" room, for the first vacation I've had in over 15 years, our room faced a corner of the ocean, MAYBE... if the 20 trucks, steamshovels, dumptrucks, and various other big earth moving sky scraping equipment were not blocking the view. To add insult to injury, they work 7 days a week and begin at 7am, rain or shine. All night you get to listen to the highway which is right by your door or window. Day brings hammering, pounding noise. The one thing worse were the robotic responses of "We're sorry, we don't have any other rooms available," not even at a sister property or another hotel? Never, ever, ever again.
