The hotel was quiet and comfortable, with good food and a nice view. I enjoyed the exercise room and the pool. I would recommend this hotel to my mother.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The staff was sharp and friendly, the bed was comfortable, there was a low noise level and it was very nice.

My advice is to watch for the overpriced extras such as long distance phone calls.

We are fans of Westin properties and have stayed at the Westin Galleria in the past and been happy, however, right now it is undergoing a "rejuvenation". In other words, the place is a major construction zone.

Unless you pay for valet, you will be parking in an underground garage and entering the hotel through a back service entrance up a flight and a half of stairs. Also, we experienced nearly around the clock drilling, nailing and construction noise. We were actually awakened at 12 midnight to hammer sounds.

This property does not seem to have the signature comfortable beds of most Starwood properties. The convenience to the Galleria does not compensate for the hassle of not being able to get a good night's rest, or an afternoon nap.

We stay there often for business and I always have a good experience. I like that it is connected to the Galleria shopping.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was good.

I always enjoy staying at the Westin Resorts. They have the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed in at a motel or hotel. It is a first class place to stay.

This hotel made me feel important: They staff treat everyone as if they are very special. I love the extras they have in the rooms, for example, the robes.

It was convenient to our meetings and relatively easy to get to. Getting to it via the shuttle can take some time due to stops at other hotels. It took us nearly an hour. It is not close to other eating places, but the city train is convenient.

Parking is hard to find at the Galleria unless you use valet parking. The Galleria Westin hotel is connected directly to the Galleria shopping center with a lot of great stores!

Highs: The Westin Galleria scores high in front-desk service, room service, bellhop service, and food. The atmosphere is luxurious; there's almost always a Ferrari or other high-end car parked in front at dinner time. As with all Westins, the bed and the bathroom are super comfy.

Lows: Why is it that the more you pay for a hotel room, the more the Internet service costs? It amazes me that they have free Internet at Motel 6, but it costs about $13/night for Internet at the Westin. I mean, I know the Westin caters towards business travelers who don't care how much Internet service costs, but it just seems like a glaring rip-off.

Also, the food is good, but definitely overpriced.

Overall: It's a nice place, and you pay for it.

Overall the hotel is a beautiful structure, clean, nice location, but between the hotel and galleria staff it makes it a very ugly place to stay for people of color even if I dressed in my finess or was casual I should not have stood awaitng service when other people were asked "may i help you." Service provider was unprofessional and very rude. My throughts about staying at this hotel and shopping at the galleria would be out of the question and I am a business owner myself. The treatment I received on the 28th of Nov, 2006 was very poor I walked out of the hotel without getting a room.

I liked the best bed and the bath amenities. They had great dining.

It has a wonderful location in the Galleria. It has excellent beds and clean rooms.

It was not particularly up to date. The elevators were slow and some floors smelt bad.

I loved the hotel, it was beautiful and clean, it had a friendly staff, great food and a great location. I have no regrets about staying there.

This hotel made me feel content: They provided all necessary items, a comfortable bed, great shower and a clean, well kept room.

It's a nice hotel. The rooms are clean, the food is good, but it's somewhat expensive.

The hotel is in a fine location. My stay was nice, as expected.

It's an older hotel and looked it. I was expecting a fresher (or at least better maintained) facility. Of course, the valet dropping the bell cart off of the curb, denting my car and then pretending not to notice did not leave the best first impression upon arrival.

I like the Westin. We travel to Dallas twice a year and always stay at the Westin; however, both my husband and I smoke and I believe they are not going to allow smoking so we will find a new hotel.
