My husband & I decided to stay overnight after returning from a 7 day cruise last Feb. We were tired from spending an entire day at airports and in flight on our return home. We loved everything about our stay. The heavenly bed is absolutely wonderful-we slept late. The hotel staff extended outstanding service, the front desk, room service, everything was great. I look forward to returning soon!
We ended up paying more money in parking fees due to lack of knowledge that we had to use valet to get set price. When we parked in short term and later found out about valet parking, the employees of the Westin stated they could do nothing about it because the parking ramp is part of the airport. Room looked nice upon arrival, sat in chair and found boogers on the wall and the white duvet was dirty.

This hotel shines as a luxury hotel. They offer many great services that include almost 24hour room service and a great staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Heavenly Bed was great along with the dual shower heads in the bath. They provided Heavenly bath products were very nice. I went for a swim followed by a relaxing sit in the hot tub. Both were very nice and clean. The gym has a lot of nice equipment that is sponsored by Reebok. The restaurant and bar were very modern with a nice feel and the zen rock garden/bubbling fountain provided a very relaxing atmosphere that seems to radiate throughout the hotel. This hotel is a must for any business or leisure traveler. We stayed here because we had an early morning flight and figured it would be easier to stay at a hotel on the terminal than to go through the process of turning in a car and getting to our gate.
We only booked the hotel for one night and once we entered I wished we could have stayed for a week. The place puts you into such a relaxed mode its seem to wash away the tension just like the water running over their polished pebbles in their fountain.

One of the best airport hotels. The rooms are hip, modern and comfortable. The place has a nice vibe. The restaurant is very good. The staff has always been very nice and the location can not be beat. Even with big airplanes right outside the window, you do not hear a thing.

The location is very convenient, the comfort is great. But when you are tired from traveling, you just want a drink from the bar, it is ten minutes to two o'clock in the morning and the bartender tells you the it is impossible, it is rather disappointing to say the least. Plus, the concierge level offers nothing extra on weekends, no breakfast, snacks or drinks. It is closed. At an airport hotel, this is unacceptable. People travel all days of the week. And the options inside security and out at Detroit Metro are not all that great.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
I might recommend it to friends.
