The Westin in Coral Gables is a great hotel. Location is perfect as its right on Miracle Mile and close to everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were awesome especially the heavenly bed

The reservation process was quite cumbersome (4 times to get the dates correct), although it was caused by them trying to get me the lowest rate possible for the conference I was attending - which ultimately they were able to do.
In the end, it was a very pleasant stay. All the staff were very friendly and we had a nice meal at the restaurant at a fairly reasonable price. Rooms could use some new carpeting, but who doesn't love the "heavenly beds"!

I have read lots of positives and negatives about this hotel, BUT I ignored all the negatives and went in with a positive Attitude.... I was really Disappointed with the substandard level of this hotel.... the bell/Valet persons didn't have any initiative to help at the front door and we had to walk up to them to ask them for help... one person kept scratching while he was talking to me... very inappropriate... check in was smooth and professional, but we didn't get the room that we reserved (King-Executive). the hallways were dirty and had electrical wires running across the hallways w peeling wallpaper and dented walls (very Old Building downtown) The carpet was dark brown-to hide the dirt- and it was very musty.. the furniture had filthy upholstery with stains on the main sofa and the desk chair (the bed sheets were very clean though) I used the bathroom toilet as soon as I got in the room after long travel only to realize that the bathroom had no running water (the front Desk tried to restart the water pump in the basement but it didn't resolve the water problem) We requested to be moved to another room....which had the same exact issues as above..(no Water....filthy....smelly...etc)
After all this, I immediately checked out within 1 hour of my arrival... the cost was $285 per night... and one would expect a better level overall...
That's my Experience...learn from it... I had MANY GREAT stays at other Westins previously.
I went and Checked into The Ritz Carlton-Key Biscayne instead $485 per night and was very satisfied there.
I am not likely
to return to the The Westin Colonnade Coral Gables.
I would not recommend it to friends.
For a 5 star hotel, this did not hold up. My room was very small, the toilet leaked, and was unable to open the blinds to get out to balcony. Very disappointing. Also my room had hair in the bathroom and one of the beds.

I had a nice stay at this Omni hotel; it was in a nice location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The valet parking service available was very nice. They also gave us a complimentary glass of champagne when we checked in.
I am very likely

I would definitely recommend it to friends.
