The Westin Calgary Hotel

We were attracted to the Westin because it was the only hotel in Calgary that offered a totally no-smoking environment. Others offered vague "no-smoking rooms" or "no-smokng floor." The Westin was true to it's advertising and was no smoking. We had our two teen-agers with us and they were able to give us two adjoining rooms with a door in between that was lockable.

Located right down town and close to everything including public transit. We took a 10-minute taxi ride to the Saddledome to see a hockey game. Also spotted NHL players in the lobby so they obviously stay here. There's an Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant right around the corner which is great for families. The Westin offers excellent service and courteous staff. Nice pool and whirl pool on an upper floor. The hotel is currently renovating in the lobby area but the staff make this as hassle-free as possible.

The Westin in Calgary is my favorite place to stay in town. The rooms in the Tower are great! Very clean, modern and the flat screen TVs are such a treat. I also love that the new renovation has made the lobby nice and bright and airy. The gym facilities are great and the hours make it very convenient. The hotel also has a great location and is close to all the major business building so when travelling for business it makes meetings easy. It is also close to the Eau clair market for places to eat in the evening. I would recommend.
