the good:
-great window view in the room
-great front desk, professional and courteous
-comfortable bed
the bad:
-the shower would give fluctuating temperature water. suddenly hot and then suddenly cold every 5 seconds. it was so difficult to take a relaxing shower.
-called room service and asked for fresh towels. waited 30min. called again and then the maid finally came. looked like they forgot until i called the second time.
althugh there was some good, i think that taking a comfortable shower is the most important thing. i'm so upset with such a 4 star hotel. the first time i've ever had such a bad experience.

Have stayed in numerous hotels in the USA, Asia, Australia, Europe and Britain. In this 4 star Category we found this Hotel and staff to be among the best anywhere. Staff great and very helpful, facilities good and for Australians who are not...

A cool place to stay, and definitely a place worth checking out. The elevators are glass on the outside of the hotel, allowing you to see downtown L.A. as you ascend to room. If roller coasters / heights freak you out, just stare at the door.
The hotel is centrally located in downtown L.A. It's great if you have business in downtown...not so much, if you don't. (If you know L.A., you know that is takes you at least 20 minutes to get anywhere). From this hotel to anywhere but downtown, you should plan on at least 40 min.
There is also a cool restaurant at the top of the hotel that rotates, so you can check out the skyline as you dine. This hotel is famous for the scene in the 1993 film "In The Line of Fire" with Clint Eastwood (I believe he was riding a horse through the hotel?).
I am somewhat likely
to return to the The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, Los Angeles.
I might recommend it to friends.

Horrible
I was very surprised to experience such poor service. I left 3 messages for the night mangaer to call without any results. One of 3 days we were not given clean towels and the room was left without service. I will not return to this hotel again.
Great price, location and revolving bar

Great price, location and revolving bar on 35th floor! Exceeded our expectations. Great location. Parking is expensive but there are other options within walking distance. The revolving bar on the 35th floor is amazing! We'll definitely do it...
First the positive: Nice rooms, great views of Downtown L.A., courteous people, fun nightclub (Suede).
The negative: They charge $42.00 per night for parking. (Plus tipping the valet) There is nowhere else to park, so they got ya! They charge $12.95 for internet access. Any dive hotel in the nation offers free internet, but you have to pay at The Westin. For that alone, I will not stay there again. It's a moral issue.
