The Watergate Hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and efficient and I found the accommodations very pleasant. The hotel was within walking distance to other area restaurants and nightclubs, as well as the Potomac River, which was very nice to sit next to and just relax.
This hotel made me feel Secure: There were staff persons always within the site and valets stationed outside of every major entrance to the hotel. When I asked whether or not it was safe to walk to a nearby restaurant, the front desk clerk assured me that it was a safe area of town and offered to call a cab for me if I preferred. However, he made it very clear that I would be fine walking alone. I walked and I had absolutely no problems.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the The Watergate Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
