45 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We loved the Waldorf Astoria, we stayed there for four days in February, 2007.
Check-in was instant. Our two children were offered crayons and coloring books, and without asking, we were given a significant room upgrade. The rooms were clean, spacious, old fashioned in a very endearing way, with plenty of towels, big beds, postcards, chairs etc.
Breakfast was excellent, though busy, and the pancakes we had, large, with generous and extra maple syrup. The buffet was good, too. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The hotel enjoys an excellent location, and had a real art deco feel about it. The main areas are superbly historic, and a joy to walk through.
We were sad to leave this historic hotel. And again, check out was fast and easy.
