Hotel Review by a traveler from Washington, DC - Posted Mar 29, 04
29 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

It was enjoyable but they threw out my bottle of wine. Fortunately, they replaced it.

This hotel made me feel respected: The Waldorf is an older and elegant hotel.

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I might recommend it to friends.

I know what to expect from Hilton.

This hotel made me feel sophisticated: I liked the hotel setting, the decor, and the staff.

I am very likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Hagerstown, MD - Posted Mar 6, 04
67 year old man with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

The Waldorf-Astoria remains a grand historic hotel which needs a little more attention to minor amenities, i.e. creams, bath salts, shampoos, etc. It also needs more careful examination for decor details which may need repair, cleaning or simple rearrangement.

This hotel made me feel secure: Hotel employees were visible almost all the time throughout the hotel and each was cheerful and apparently aware of our presence and in which suite we were staying. That was impressive. We felt 'protected'.

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I might recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Melbourne, FL - Posted Feb 25, 04
26 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I'm sure this was a fluke but my stay at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC was worse than a stay at the Motel 6. Check-in lasted for several hours, lines were out the lobby, car service was horrible. I've never felt less welcome and appreciated in a hotel.

I am very likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
