76 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel is in the perfect location for everything we wanted to do in New York City. This was the third time we stayed at this hotel and have been pleased each time.

I am very likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Hopefully this hotel has got its act together. When I stayed here, the room I was allocated hadn't been made up after the last guest had departed. On the upside, the staff were very helpful and gave me a suite with a great view.

This was just as well because the first room wasn't worth the price I was paying.

So value-for-money is the only downside here: be sure to complain if you don't like the room you're offered.

That aside it's a great hotel and, if it's your first trip to the Big Apple but you don't want to fork out a wedge for the Plaza, this is the place to stay.

I am very likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

They charged the wrong credit card on check out. I had reserved with one card but given another when I checked in. I was anticipating that the card I gave at check-in would be used to pay the bill but the reservation one was, causing some problems.

I am very likely to return to the The Waldorf Astoria.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

There was a mix-up concerning our having made two reservations -- the first for a two-night stay and the second for one additional night. The reservation agent insisted that we change rooms for the third night. He was finally convinced to allow us to remain in the same room.

I happened to arrive on a night when the water had been turned off for maintenance. I realize this is necessary but we got there late and this was very inconvenient. Otherwise, it's a beautiful hotel and I enjoyed it very much.

As always the Waldorf provides the ultimate in hotel stays.
