I'm 22 and my husband is in his late 20's, we never been to a nudist resort till now when we came across this little treasure hidden in Palm Springs. The best part was how the staff immediatly makes you feel home away from home, they were all so nice! The beds were my husband's favorite part, it feels like you melt away inside them...extremely comfortable. My fav. was the food and snacks you get to enjoy through the day. The variety of fruit spoiles you. I didn't feel anxious at all to put my clothes back on and join the troubled society we all live in. This place truely makes you forget all about your worries and everyday stress. It was an awesome experience that we will never forget and can't wait to enjoy again. There is no place to compare it to, we should know, we've been traveling the U.S. for over a year now. You definetely can't beat the bargain price either. Thanx Terra Cotta Inn!

56 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We first visited Terra Cotta Inn about 4 years ago for three days. It's close to the airport too. We had very nice time there. We did the very nice Inn breakfast buffet each morning, relaxed around the pool, ordered in lunch and ate pool side, read menus and pick places to go out to dinner later, wine and strawberries are provided at the cocktail hour. Tom and Mary Clare are very knowledge and helpful regarding the Palm Springs area.

Since our first visit, we have been back at least twice a year and usually for a week each time.. We have meet very nice and interesting people from all over the world... We definitely will go back and back again!!! r&r

21 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Just this past weekend, my boyfriend and I had made reservations to stay in Palm Springs. We decided to do the day trip to the Terra Cotta Inn and scheduled a massage as well.

To our surprise, it was the most amazing experience ever! It was our first time as naturalists and we couldn't have asked for a better first-time-experience ever! I highly recommend this place to anybody who is skeptical, embarrassed or straight-up shy about going out in the nude.

Our hosts were quite gracious and we made so many friends while we were there. We like it so much that we decided to check out of our room early so that we can spend more time at Terra Cotta Inn. It's a very nice place to get away from all the hub-bub of the busy city which was exactly what we were looking for, it's calm, relaxing, soothing, and perfect for a sweet escape.

I just wish their day trip hours would be a little more extended since it's nearly summertime. But nevertheless, I can't wait to go again!

My husband and I visited the Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs and Desert Shadows and Sea Mountain Resort, a nude resort.

The Terra Cotta Inn is nice for quiet time, but don't yell, laugh, or put lotion on your wife or they will kick you out! I think we will be semi-regulars, and it's OK if you are older and want to chill.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSE

----------------------------

Hi, My name is Tom Mulhall. My wife and I are the owners of The Terra Cotta Inn. This post was just brought to my attention. There is a person who owns another place that was been writing negative posts about our resort and other nudist resorts here, at yahoo travel, and trip adviser and who knows where else. I am sorry that you might be misled by this person. I guess when you don't have many customers you have more time to create mischief.

Just this December 30th, 2006 the Vancouver Sun newspaper in Canada named us one of the top places in the world to go nude sunbathing. We were the only resort on the west coast that was honored. In the spring of 2006, we were on a travel show on TV about the ultimate hotels of the world. We were the only nudist resort that was honored. CBSmarketwatch has reported we are the most mainstream nudist resort in America and perfect for couples nude sunbathing for the first time. I will not bore you with all the media write ups.

I am a past president of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce. We have one of the best reputations of all hotels in town. Again, I hope you will not be misled by this jealous individual.

Feel free personally calling me at 800-786-6938 if you have questions about our resort.

I am not likely to return to the The Terra Cotta Inn Clothing Optional Resort and Spa.
I might recommend it to friends.

Words can't describe how much fun we just had at Terra Cotta Inn. We spent a week there in September 2006. We read so much about nudist resorts in the papers here in Florida. We finally decided to work up the courage to try nude sunbathing ourselves.

After spending a lot of time on the internet and calling a number of nudist resorts, we picked Palm Springs and Terra Cotta. We wanted to escape the Florida rain and Palm Springs didn't let us down. Not a cloud in the sky all week long.

The Terra Cotta was perfect. We wanted couples only. We did not want a wild place. We are busy executives and were looking to relax and forget about work (Free wifi is a nice touch for keeping up on office e-mails).

The owners treat you like family. They think of everything from great beds, great food, large rooms, poolside misting, our best massages ever, and great guests.

Everything we read on the net told us Terra Cotta was the best for first time nude sunbathers and they greatly exceeded our expectations. I was very nervous being in my early 40's. I didn't want to be intimidated by LA hardbodies. Guests were from their 20's to 70's. All shapes and sizes. They were from all over the world. We met people from England, Canada, and Argentina. I felt very safe and comfortable being nude. The resort is upscale and the guests are very nice and friendly.

We can't wait to get back.

I am very likely to return to the The Terra Cotta Inn Clothing Optional Resort and Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
