The Talbott Hotel

A beautiful old boutique hotel in the heart of Chicago. My room was very large for a big city hotel. The lobby was small, but nice. Parking is expensive if you valet, but that's to be expected in Chicago. Overall clean, comfortable, great location -- I'd probably stay here again.

Here's a warning regarding their reservation and group services. They couldn't handle a wedding party. They over billed one guest that took three days to straighten out, they were very rude, had a condescending staff, and made little attempt to rectify mistakes.

The hotel is lovely and its valet/busperson staff unfailing helpful and friendly.

However, the Talbott's front desk staff during our stay was awful--very rude and disorganized (they lost our booking twice, refused us the price we'd confirmed three times, and ignored our requests to speak with supervisors). There are a number of more pleasant hotels in this area, which we'll be sure to visit next time.
