We have stayed here before and it was lovely. You couldn't beat the location and view of the capital. But when we recently stayed here, it was terrible. They had our reservation wrong, the front desk was very rude. The room was in disrepair and the bathroom had not been cleaned yet. They had to send someone up to clean the bathroom. They only gave us one bar of soap, so I went to the front desk to ask for more. I was actually asked what I needed the soap for. Can you imagine?
It is a shame that they have let what could be such a gem of a hotel be ruined by rude staff and bad maintenance.
