We spent 6 nights at the resort and the resort was beautiful, the grounds were so well maintained, everyone was very friendly. The food and drinks were a little costly so we ate/drank mostly at other establishments The rooms were average but very...

Excellent
The resort was a pleasant surprise and a wonderful place to spend a week in February. Accommodations were very nice, and with the down economy, uncrowded. The location on North Scottsdale Road was convenient to the Phoenix area. Hotel staff had...

Good
Very nice resort with many amenities. Didn't care for the number of food items and suntan lotions, etc. in the room that were placed there "for sale" at ridiculous prices. Seemed a little over the top and a bit too retail for a resort room. Also, ...

If I should be given the chance to rate hotels that I visit, the Scottsdale Plaza Resort would get five stars. Even though the grounds are impeccable, the heart of that resort is its staff. If you want to see a full review of my stay, visit, www.associatedcontent.com/avonesor

Horrible
All Review Photos Oh dear, where to begin? This place is something else! The rooms reminded me of a renovated Best Western or Motel 6. You know, the rooms with those air conditioners underneath the windows and the sink outside as you walk in the...
36 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
As a frequent business traveler, (75+ nights/year) I usually stay at one of the larger hotel chains, but recently decided to stay at this hotel during a recent trip due to a special $97 negotiated group rate for a conference I was attending on the property.
The staff at this hotel was generally friendly and the grounds were very nice and spacious, but overall I had a very poor experience and would not recommend this hotel.
Rooms were quite run-down, nothing "luxury" about them for sure.
Noise was a big problem during my stay as the hotel was full of several parties of college-aged students partying and making noise late into the night, something that the hotel seemed disinterested in doing anything about. On 2 of the 3 mornings f my stay, I came out of my room to witness beer bottles, clothing and other misc debris scattered across the otherwise nice grounds of the property.

Our 2 week stay was everything we wanted. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We really liked the location in respect to the things we wanted to see and do. The front desk personnel were excellent and very friendly. Plan to stay there again.

The pools were very nice. My two young daughters and I stayed in a bi-level room in the courtyard area. It was nice as well.
I was disappointed, however, when we were asked to leave the pool area on one of our 5 days at the hotel as they rented it out for a private party. When asked how they would compensate me, they let me know we could walk to one of the other pools. Also, we were charged a resort fee (rip off) and also charged over $20 a day in room tax!
