Stayed here twice on two night stays. the rooms were alright. they were brightly decorated, the bed spreads are a variety of colors. the rooms were clean except for a few spots. plenty of towels in the rooms. restaurants aren't good here. go to the Eldorado or Circus Circus for better food. the pool was good. it was warm. it was good for a refreshment in the summer heat. it is in a good location and Euro Fest was good in June.

I had another great stay at the sands. the food wasn't very good. the room was great we stayed in the dynasty tower. we had a view of the city. the pool was good. the elevators were slow in this tower too. we ate at other places, the sands doesn't have good restaurants. the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. stay here for the room, eat in other places. we will stay here during the summer and else where in the winter.

Great Hotel, will stay again!. We stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed ourselves. I have stayed at the Peppermill before and will actually stay at the Sands in the future. This hotel may be a little 70's looking on the outside but the inside has been remodeled and looks great. They are still remodeling the outside too. (The Peppermill is nice but is the most neon lighted hotel and casino there is…like it might give you a headache…lol… and it is much more crowded.) Our room at the Sands was VERY nice with a nice firm mattress. We both slept great. During our stay we went to other casino's to play and ended up back at our hotel because it seemed the slots and table games were paying out MUCH better! They have several areas to eat, including an original Mel's Diner, Arby’s and Tony Roma’s. We ate at both Mel’s & TR’s and also their cafe and it was great. The café makes just about everything you can think of… you must try the calzone if you go there!!! They also have a steak buffet for $11.99! (oh there is room service too if you want it!) We already made another reservation for this same hotel. The others we visited were way too crowded and you could hardly walk. It was nice to return to our hotel!! The staff is VERY nice and helpful. I guess the previous people had some issues but I liked the hotel and the room was remodeled and perfect...and the room is the reason you are staying there!! And the food was great!! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it isn't a 5 star hotel it is a 3 star but basically the only thing you aren't getting is a coffee maker in your room (big deal, their cafe has great flavored lattes) or a mint on your pillow... ha I can get over that...LOL The 5 star was labeled "Perfect, it doesn't get any better" well several hotels can be better than a 3 star but you have to be willing to pay for it. Why not stay in a cheaper hotel and just go to the other casino's during the day like we did :) It was very nice and I would bring even my son here. Great hotel, great stay!

I am very likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We stayed three days. When checking in we were told the rate would stay the same on weekend days. When checking out the rate charged on weekend was double. Our vehicle was hit and run in their parking lot. A witness turned in the license plate to security. When we went to security they informed us they had lost the license number from the witness. Sands does not try to resolve problems. The staff are not helpfull. Rooms are old and need updating. No irons or ironing boards in rooms. Towels are very bad.

The hotel has just been renovated. It is located in downtown Reno close to the freeway. It is very quiet and the staff is great. The stay was great.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The atmosphere was not stressful. The room was comfortable and clean.

I am very likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.

I believe our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel cleanliness and the staff were excellent. The only small issue was the not so good and overpriced Mexican restaurant.

This hotel made me feel respected: We were made to feel the way you should feel in a hotel. I felt the entertainment was excellent.

I am very likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

They overbooked the room that we were staying at so they put us in the tower which was fine but then they told us that we would have to move in a room that was across the parking lot. We were tired and we were going snowboarding the next morning and the last thing that I wanted to do was to pack everything back up. So they offered to let us stay in the same room. Then they overcharged us and it took almost two weeks to resolve the problem.

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.

It is off the main drag in Reno. It is an older hotel with comfortable, well worn, clean rooms. Check in and check out are very easy. The coffee shop has extensive menu and it is well worth the modest price.

I would definitely recommend it to friends.

47 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I stayed here late July, and I really enjoyed it. I had been at the Silver Legacy before and like this place better. They have a great pool. I thought the casino was friendly. It will be my place to stay when in Reno. I was surprised it was so good because of the low price. I think the railroad issue has been addressed with the tracks now below ground level. I liked the steak buffet, too.

I am very likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The price was right, but I had a problem early one morning, when one member of the staff woke me up looking for someone else.

This hotel made me feel excited: I had a great time while I was there and I even came back with all of the money I went out there with, which is a first for me.

All in all, this hotel is a great value for the money. If we wanted to we could have easily never left the hotel and still had a good time. The only thing that upset me was that their website did not mention the frequency of their airport shuttle. Most of the other shuttles ran 2-3 times/hour, the Sands' only once.

I am very likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The Sands Regency is in the heart of downtown Reno and unfortunately it is located very close to the railroad tracks. Both mornings I that I stayed there, I was woken up incredibly early by the sounds of a passing train.

I also did not care for the rooms themselves and the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom was not clean when we checked in.

I am not likely to return to the The Sands Regency Casino Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.
