Very nice room, beautifully furnished, the bathroom was exquisite! The king sized bed was topped with a featherbed, two down comforters, and six down pillows. They even had additional or alternate bedding and pillows you could have sent up. There ...

51 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Old styled hotel in downtown San Jose. This hotel is in a rather good location, very close to some good restaurants in downdown San Jose. Just go downstairs and you can find food at Original Joes, an italian restaurant, serving big portions of hearty italian meals. The room I stayed in is rather small, the hotel is quite old, I suppose it's charming in that way, but personally I like the modern styled hotels, like the Marriot accross the street of the Sainte Claire.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the The Sainte Claire, a Larkspur Collection Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

This hotel is in a rather good location, very close to some good restaurants in downdown San Jose. Just go downstairs and you can find food at Original Joes, an italian restaurant, serving big portions of hearty italian meals. The room I stayed in is rather small, the hotel is quite old, I suppose it's charming in that way, but personally I like the modern styled hotels, like the Marriot accross the street of the Sainte Claire.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Good value room. The restoration is extremely well done. Il Fornaio is excellent. Great location. I will definetley return.

The location was conveniently located near a lot of good food places. Some rooms were are little smaller then expected, but some rooms have a really good view. My advice is to try to get the rooms at the corner of the building. The elevator makes you a little queasy when you go all the way to the twenty third floor but otherwise, it is a really good hotel.
They were courteous at the reservation desk. They were willing to have a conversation. They were diligent.
