It was beautiful but it had no access to simple store items. I could not find a store near by with caffeine free diet cola. There was no hotel gift shop.
The beautiful old world furniture and the doorman in top hat and tails made me feel elegant.
I am very likely
to return to the The Saint Paul Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
pros: Gorgeous hotel throughout, amazing resturant and fantastic staff. We had always dreamed of staying here and we did on our wedding night, it was amazing. It feels luxurious from the first step to the last. The staff were great, the room was...

I recently visited this hotel for a 2 night stay. I was impressed from the very beginning of my stay when the concierge called my room to ask me how the check-in process went. Every request I had was taken care of, and with a smile.
There were several unexpected perks of staying here. Complimentary evening turndown came with free bottles of mineral water; great to come back to after a night out. Also, the high-speed Internet access was free. I needed to use the business center to print, and both Internet access and printing were complimentary.
The food at both the St Paul Grill, and the M St Cafe were great.
In general, the hotel is very well decorated and the rooms had traditional decor with nice details, like prints of historic homes in the area, instead of the generic hotel art you normally see.
The location is extremely convenient to businesses in the area, and is directly across the street from a nice park. Macy's is about a block away from the hotel, as is a Walgreen's - both nice places to have nearby when you're in town for a wedding (for those last-minute purchases).
If I ever have a reason to be back in St. Paul, I would most definitely stay here again.

The Saint Paul hotel, located in a beautiful, historic brick building, is right in downtown Saint Paul with a great view, especially at night. The service is exceptional, professional and gracious and the hotel atmosphere is classy and timelessly elegant. The hotel is comfortable, private and it made us feel very important and special because of the great service and fancy rooms. All this comes at a price, of course, but for the occasional stay, it is a treat worth saving up for.
The room we rented was elegant and well decorated. The check in people were friendly and helpful.
I am very likely
to return to the The Saint Paul Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel has a wonderful downtown location, it is connected by enclosed walkways with entire downtown business district, it has a very experienced staff that is very ready to help with my wife's handicap and medical problems.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the The Saint Paul Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Okay
pros: A true "grand hotel."I will confess to a bit of a bias. My father began working at the St. Paul in 1934, and worked in the Grill for 40 years. My wife and I are dual-career professionals, and when we get a chance for a really special time...
If you gotta be away from home, this is teh place to be... best thing I like is the 2nd floor, smoking. It's at roof level, over the conference rooms or lobby maybe, but all gravel, so it's almost like having a deck or something. Grilling would a...
