This hotel is disgusting. The renovations they are making are in a very specific area and not to these guest rooms.
We booked two rooms. After waiting 20 minutes in line to register, at 4:30 pm they were not ready. We were forced to go stand in another line for our free registration gift, which was a stack of local attraction pamphlets like you find in the lobby of a Denny's dropped into a Universal Studios bag. I didn't ask for a registration gift, so why insult me?
When we got into our room, one room had a flood and the other room's toilet did not correctly flush. We had to use our guest towels to stop the flood that had already soaked the carpet. They fixed the flood but left the wet towels on the floor and never replaced them with fresh ones.
Both rooms were filthy. The plaster was cracking. There was no soap or shampoo in either room. All the bedspreads and curtains are torn. The sheets on one bed had huge black stains on them. The bathrooms are hidden behind cheap sliding mirror doors which were broken. We wore flip flops in the bathroom.
The fire sprinkler above the coffee pot and iron was broken off. The guest elevator is missing most of its floor tile. It is also filthy. It had a valid inspection posted, but we were very uncomfortable with how it shook, so we thought the stairs were probably better.
These staircases have not been cleaned ever I am sure. They are filthy, poorly lit, filled with trash and smelled like urine. Probably a guest response to the registration gift.
We discussed skipping Disney and leaving because this hotel is so bad.
Instead, we promised to post our experience anywhere we could.
