This hotel is disgusting. The renovations they are making are in a very specific area and not to these guest rooms.

We booked two rooms. After waiting 20 minutes in line to register, at 4:30 pm they were not ready. We were forced to go stand in another line for our free registration gift, which was a stack of local attraction pamphlets like you find in the lobby of a Denny's dropped into a Universal Studios bag. I didn't ask for a registration gift, so why insult me?

When we got into our room, one room had a flood and the other room's toilet did not correctly flush. We had to use our guest towels to stop the flood that had already soaked the carpet. They fixed the flood but left the wet towels on the floor and never replaced them with fresh ones.

Both rooms were filthy. The plaster was cracking. There was no soap or shampoo in either room. All the bedspreads and curtains are torn. The sheets on one bed had huge black stains on them. The bathrooms are hidden behind cheap sliding mirror doors which were broken. We wore flip flops in the bathroom.

The fire sprinkler above the coffee pot and iron was broken off. The guest elevator is missing most of its floor tile. It is also filthy. It had a valid inspection posted, but we were very uncomfortable with how it shook, so we thought the stairs were probably better.

These staircases have not been cleaned ever I am sure. They are filthy, poorly lit, filled with trash and smelled like urine. Probably a guest response to the registration gift.

We discussed skipping Disney and leaving because this hotel is so bad.

Instead, we promised to post our experience anywhere we could.

I am not likely to return to the The Regal Sun Resort.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The only thing this hotel has going for it, is the convenient location to Downtown Disney. I am also disappointed that this is a "Partner" hotel with Walt Disney World. We assumed that it being so, it would be up-to-par with the Disney standards, but you know what they say when you assume.

We were given a room in the "East Courtyard," which resembled a local motel. The room was dingy, the bathtub had mold and rust along the drain, toilet, etc. We were moved to the "West Courtyard," which was exactly the same. Thank goodness we were only there for one night. They are doing renovations to the tower, but really need to concentrate on the courtyard rooms.

It is a shame, because this would be an excellent hotel to stay in.

I was told this resort had a 4 Star rating. The front lobby is definitely deserving of this rating. The rooms were like you would find at any truck-stop motel, it’s just a standard hotel room with two double beds.

I asked for a non-smoking room, was assured of same, but was placed in a room where people had smoked. Management should have known this and cleaned this room properly. The popcorn paint was deteriorating on the ceiling. A change of room did go smoothly, though. The rooms were relatively clean, but looked used. They had standard small bath towels. The TV was older (not even a flat screen tube which is 10 year old technology). There was no closet, just a bar for your clothes next to the sink near the bathroom.

The front desk people were polite. When I dropped my wife at the front door they automatically valet parked my car. I was not told there would be an automatic $10 charge for this service. I should have been told this was an option. A valet person was rude and would point instead of speaking (he did not have a speech impairment as he was talking to co-workers). I asked him several times to speak so I could now what he was trying to convey, but he refused. Wow! After paying my balance in full at checkout, my credit card still had a posting of $25 more for incidentals I might use before checkout. After a few days, the correct amount was posted.

This was definitely not a 4 Star resort and was way overpriced for what most would consider a 2 Star motel. I could have got the same type of room for $75-100 less, with fewer hassles at several other locations around Disney. I was very disappointed.

I am not likely to return to the The Regal Sun Resort.

The rooms are small and dingy, the TV remote did not work, the iron did not work and the bathroom was small. The air conditioning unit was noisy. The price was too high for the value of the room.

I am not likely to return to the The Regal Sun Resort.

This hotel is so close to Downtown Disney, that it does not have to try very hard as it will always have most rooms booked. This was reflected in the service and attitude of the staff.

We spent our first week in the Sheraton Safari which was great, we moved to this hotel for our second week, and that was a big mistake. We would not go back.

It is our favorite hotel when traveling to Disneyworld. It is the closest hotel to downtown Disney and it has a great pool area. We always stay here.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The people were very nice and helpful.

I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It was a very old hotel. There was a plunger lying in the hall, a dirty wash cloth on the floor of the room & water that never evaporated that was soaking the floor between the beds. It was not worth what I paid. By the way, I like hard beds, so it wasn't an issue for me, but the beds were hard as rocks.

I am not likely to return to the The Regal Sun Resort.
