The Regal Sun Resort

Stayed here for 4 nights. Couldn't get the free wi-fi to work once. The tech support number they gave me couldn't help either. After 1 hour on the phone with them, I just went down the street to Mcdonalds. No problem connecting there. Besides that, the pool was great. The room could have been cleaner. (pubic hairs from the previous guest in the bathtub) That's why I pack Clorox cleanup wipes. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they knew how to be. The T.V. reception was poor also.

we stayed here for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. we upgraded to a disney view tower room. I would recommend doing this. It was lovely looking over disney day and night. we cannot comment on the food at the hotel as we ate at downtown disney everynight it was so near. We had no problems with the buses they went every half hour to the parks. To go to shops,seaworld,universal you can use the lynx bus the busstop is 2 minutes walk from hotel. The staff at the hotel were not helpful with info on anyhing they were not making money on so just go to the bus stop and ask the driver which bus you need.

The location is good, and the pool was nice. But don't be fooled by the name "resort" its a motel really! I was horrified by the customer service, the $100 deposit on my credit card eventhough everything was paid for months ago (like in January 08!), and the extremely rude staff.

This resort was not as bad as the other reviewers stated. The courtyard rooms do have outdoor hallways but this is an older hotel. I stayed in the tower rooms which are alot nicer. I had 2 rooms ajoining on the 11th floor. Both rooms were nice and renovated with flat screen T.V.s, granite counter tops, new carpet, and new beds. The beds were comfortable and new. A few things that I didn't like were that the shuttle buses to disney are now mears motor coaches which are chartered buses so when u get to the park, you have to walk a longer distance and the buses go to 2 parks and it can take up to 30 min. to get to the park that you need to get to, and there were always people standing up and down the walkway of the bus. The other thing was that 2 out of 4 of the elevators were not working the entire time of my stay. Over all, the price was right for the location and the small inconviences were not a huge drawback for the price, but I problably won't return because there are many better hotels in the Downtown Disney Village.

Booked a couple of months ago by my company. They faxed a preauthorization form so the room would be pre-paid and I wouldn't have to carry it on my credit card. A week before arriving, my secretary verified that they had everything in order for our arrival. We arrived and they did not have the form on file and wouldn't check us in without a credit card. I gave them my card and called to have the form faxed again (Wednesday). When I checked Thursday morning, they said they didn't have the form. I called and had it faxed again Thursday. Friday came and the checkout receipt was on my door with my CC number on it. I went down to complain and they still said they didn't have the form. We had it faxed again. Finally, after 4 tries, they admitted to having the form and supposedly cancelled the charges to my credit card and charged the office. They were rude and incompetent. Not a very good combination. If it shows up on my cc bill, I'll have to contest it with the credit card company. We will never recommend or stay there again. Great Downtown Disney location but rooms were 2 star at best. PS....Talked to another guest that had the exact same thing going on but she refused to give them her personal card.
