We stayed here from Jan. 13 through 20, 2007. It's a nice building, but as one of my friends staying there noted, it's like they do what they need to do to make it look good on the website and no more.
The heaters in the room are really loud, making it hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper. The continental breakfast is exactly the same every day, plain or blueberry bagels, cereal, and apple juice. Who over 12 years old drinks apple juice? The housekeeping was lacking, our in-room coffee maker was never cleaned out, and a bit of coffee I spilled on the table wasn't cleaned up either. This is the first time I've ever not left a tip for the housekeepers in a hotel.
I also wasn't pleased with the customer service. A couple of the women working at the front desk couldn't give driving directions to save their lives, and they wouldn't credit my account for a ski lift ticket I didn't use (we had a ski and stay package.) I've also never had to take the cover off of a Jacuzzi myself, that seems like their job to me, but the first one using the Jacuzzi every day had that responsibility. When we were checking out, we asked if they would split the bill across two credit cards, and they said no because they had already run it on one card (have they ever heard of a credit to a card?)
A couple of other odd things, the room was very dark. It was a large room, with only three lamps and an overhead light near the door. We really didn't have enough light to read in the room. There also was a grand total of one drawer in the room, and when we checked in for our week-long stay there were exactly four hangers on the rod. They gave us a few more when we asked, then I went out and bought some more.
I would definitely not stay here again. The ski and stay deal was pretty good, but that's about the only positive thing I have to say about the place. I just expected a lot more based on their website.
Oh, and by the way, I noticed that they had a flyer at the front desk advertising a romantic Valentine's Day getaway. The couple on the flyer is sharing a glass of champagne. From what I can tell, you can't get any champagne anywhere near the place! Not having a bar and restaurant at the hotel is definitely a down side, as there is very little in the area.
