The Raleigh was built in 1940 and was designed by acclaimed architect Laurence Murray Dixon and features a world-renowned swimming pool with cascading waterfall and sprawling tropical gardens. Guest rooms are adorned with fabrics and style of the 1940's and are equipped with in room I-pod Stations and high speed wireless Internet access. The Raleigh has 104 rooms and suites, including and Oceanfront 3-bedroom, 6,000 sq.ft duplex Penthouse with spectacular 1,950 sq ft. terrace.

My boyfriend and I had an overall pleasant experience at the hotel besides the event of his new 80G iPod being stolen from the room when we went out for dinner. The hotel staff did nothing other than suggest that we file a police report (what will a police report do for a stolen iPod?). The manager didn't offer to credit a night for the hotel or offer anything to makeup for the incident (two hotel workers had entered our room when we were gone - 1. person who restocked mini bar and 2. person who turned down our bed). If you stay here, lock all possessions in your safe and remember to take your iPod off the iPod doc on the nightstand
