Arrived at check in time of 4:00 pm, room is advertised to be air conditioned. The temperature outside was in the high 80's, and our room was on the second floor, with no air conditioning, and no window. The mirror in the bathroom had toothpaste all over it from the previous guests. When we called the desk to tell them about the air conditioning, the "21" year old left in charge seemed concerned, however, they did not have anyone in maintenance to repair or look at it, she offered to bring us a fan, we waited and waited for someone to come to our room with a fan, we finally went to the front desk to inquire about the fan, oops they had given all of the fans to other guests. They boast a higher end hotel, but not managed well.

This historic hotel is beautifully appointed and conveniently located in downtown Red Lodge. The suites are beautifully furnished if a bit cozy and the beds are among the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I would go again in a heartbeat, but vegetarians, beware, as the restaurant only offers one vegetarian dish, and if you do not like, or you are allergic to peppers, you are out of luck, although the wheat less chocolate cake is to die for.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: The reputation in the area and the beautiful surroundings, both inside and out made me feel extravagant.
