The Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel

This is a hotel that is very comfortable with quiet service and yet just a short way from fine shops and restaurants. It's always a joy to be there and I would recommend it to anyone. It is like being on an island of serenity, nothing about it speaks of the vulgarity often true of Los Angeles.

This hotel made me feel elegant: The suite was clearly not just put together but the colors and textures made one feel the luxury. In addition the quiet, but exceptional public spaces in this hotel bespoke true class. A jeweler who stocked my favorite watches, Patek Phillipe, very hard to find and truly a great timepiece, was present in the lobby.

This is the finest hotel I have ever stayed at. I stayed at the Plaza in New York after this stay, and the Plaza just does not compare to the overall quality of the facility and the staff. If you want to be pampered, want a great hotel, but want a quiet atmosphere, this is the place. I wanted dinner reservations for the best seafood restaurant and the conceirge had no difficulty getting them. For a vacation the hotel can arrange tours in private luxury cars with knowledgable, friendly drivers. We had lunch at the hotel and it was wonderful.
