Our recent stay at The Peabody was much less than what we hoped for from the four diamond ratings of the hotel. The lobby was very nice and the pool/hot tub is excellent. The rooms were good and clean, but not anywhere worth what they charge for them. WE had nice beds, but no fridge, no microwave, a medium size TV, a regular tub/shower, etc.
Many conveniences were available, at an additional cost! The exercise room was $10 a day for guests, they charged for shade at the pool (cabana rental), there is an internet fee of $8 a day (even if you don't use it) that they surprise you with when you check out, etc.
In summary, they have a great pool, a nice lobby, good service, a good location, an average room without a fridge or microwave, and it’s overpriced with additional costs all over the place.
