Located only minutes from Historic Downtown Charleston the Palms Hotel offers ocean breezes, sun and fun! The Hotel is on one of the east coast's most beautiful beaches, the Isle of Palms. Appropriately named, the Isle of Palms is a haven of palm trees that sway to the smooth ocean breezes. With beach front dining only steps from your guest room and entertainment just as close, you can leave the car keys behind and enjoy a relaxing stroll along the palm tree lined streets. You may desire to take a short drive to the Isle of Palms Marina and enjoy a day of Para sailing, sport fishing or take an Eco Tour. Perhaps you may have a round of golf in mind or you might want to rent bicycles and explore the island yourself. Historic Charleston is a short drive away, where you can spend the day touring beautiful antebellum homes, or enjoy a relaxing carriage ride through beautiful city. Or you may enjoy browsing through the Market to take home-cherished handmade items or spend a relaxing evening in any one of the many delightful restaurants of downtown.Parking is $7 per day from April 1st-October 15th. This hotel is located right on the beach and connected to a great rooftop bar/restaurant (Coconut Joe's). There are some souvenier shops locatded across the street along with a Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop. Everything is within walking distance,...

Great location on the beach. "Partial beach view" really does give you a nice beach view (with nice balcony). Comfy room. Nice outdoor pool. Good service. Great continental breakfast. Clean room. Great shower. Got a good rate for this level of...
Travelers beware!! The information and pictures on the hotel website are very misleading. The hotel room I stayed in was dark, dreary and very dirty. The floors were sticky, there was hair everywhere, there were stains on the bedspreads that looked like blood, and peeling paint...the list goes on. The walls were so thin that I was unable to sleep one entire night due to noisy guest partying in the open breezeway outside of my room. I had to call down to the front desk twice, but that didn't help. The front desk was unsympathetic upon checkout. Don't be deceived...never stay here.

24 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The pictures featured on their website are very deceiving. The breakfast buffet is fine as long as you stick to toast and muffins. The location is good, but our room smelt of mildew. There was also no closet, just a rack in it's place. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful though except for the person for the night staff. I thought for the price we paid, we probably could have stayed somewhere a lot better. I wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Excellent
The view from our oceanfront balcony was wonderful. Walking on the beach in February was still great and many people were enjoying it, especially at sunrise! Breakfast was fine. The refrigerator & microwave in our room were handy for lunch. Well...
My sister and I took our kids (four under 5) to this hotel. At first we checked into another hotel two buildings down. It was dirty, small and did not have an ocean view. My sister called The Palm Hotel and they were able to quickly accomodate us....
