The rooms definitely need updating.

The customer service was awful. I was not given the room I had reserved and the front desk agent was very rude. It was not worth the money, even though I got a low rate from Priceline.

Worst staff I have ever seen and I have traveled all over the world. Minorities definitely received the "cold-shoulder" from staff. Room was not very clean. Not worth the money.

The living space of the room was 13x9 (yes, I measured it). The bed was twin size and the room had a very large armoire/tv cabinet and a desk which made the space even smaller. The building is very old. The wall outlets were not very secure; meaning that everytime I tried to remove a cord I was afraid that the outlet was going to come completely out of the wall. Although the linen was great (at least 300 thread count) I would not recommend the Palmer House Hilton; however I would recommend a serious renovation of the property.

We chose this hotel for its location and price. Price was a major consideration.

It's a decent chain with decent prices.

Going to Chicago the Palmer House is the best.

All of the personnel were quite friendly. They must have been on a 'be friendly' campaign. Everyone greeted us in the hallway or wherever.

It was the conference hotel, so I can't say I 'chose' to stay at the Palmer House, but I did enjoy my stay there.

I have always had a good experience with the Hilton chain. They are courteous, helpful and not pushy. The check-in and check-out is quick and easy. They are willing to accommodate my schedule and just feel good when I go there. I feel comfortable.

For the price, the room was quite small and rather shopworn looking.
