We love the Overleaf, it is our favorite hotel on the Oregon Coast.
We first went there on our honeymoon and now go back as often as we can. There are a few other less expensive hotels right near by, but The Overleaf is worth the extra $20.00 a night when we've got it.
The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. They see more like living rooms than hotel rooms. Each room looks out over the ocean. There is no beach, just low cliffs and rocks (A real, sandy beach is in close driving distance). The waves put on a spectacular show in any kind of a squall making this a great spot year round.
The continental breakfast is more like a fancy brunch with quiche, fancy rolls and hearty granola every morning along with fresh fruit and juices.
Yachats is a fun community where, if you plan ahead, you can catch a local drama production or some great music. Our favorite restaurant, The Drift Inn, features some wonderful music most nights and a comfy community atmosphere, (as well as some great food).
During the daytime hours, there aren't a lot of shops to see or other sights to distract you, so this is a wonderful place to just relax, walk the beach and read a good book.
