We checked in and our rooms were not ready. When we finally got in the air was not working. Rooms are done in a tacky 1980 style. The Aspira Spa was a terrible experience. We love spas and this one sounded like a good one. My wife and I have gotten better massages at our local neighborhood day spa in Chicago. They threw cold towels over us...yapped the whole time and then complained about their manager who took off on a date with her 70 year boyfriend and did not complete some work for them (the manager was 31 and also from what we were subjected to is the GM's daughter) We then went back to our hot room and were promised the air would be serviced shortly so we went to an early dinner at Lola's Restaurant. Another nightmare. The food was the worst we have ever had anywhere in our travels not to mention the most expensive. It was a joke. Later that night we walked to Elkhart lake Village ad had a decent late meal at the Victorian Village. The following night we had a great meal at the Paddock Club in the Village. We canceled our last spa treatment and checked out a day early. They had the audacity to tell us we would have to pay for 3 days, until I demanded my money back. This is a resort to avoid.

Where to begin? Check in went okay, not that I would call the front desk staff the most polite front desk staff I've ever dealt with. We ordered room service at about 12:30PM on Saturday afternoon and the woman on the phone sid it would be 20 to 30 minutes... 45 minutes later our food came and the chicken on the chicken ceaser salad was not cooked all the way through. No major problems until at 9:45AM Sunday morning we call for bellhop service. The girl on the phone asks idf I would like immediate service, I say yes please. We had a brunch to attend at 10AM so at 10:20AM with the bellhop still a no show we drag our luggage and a set of golf clubs to our car! When I check out at 11AM I ask what the usual turnaround time for bellhop is and she said they only had two bellhops on staff at the time and one was gone on a shuttle. Perhaps management should staff another five or ten bellhops on a Sunday morning at checkout time, just a suggestion. When I told the front desk girl what had happened with our bellhop her response was a shrug of the shoulders... pretty classy for$250/night! I will never go to this resort again, and considering there are a number of other choices in the Elkhart Lake Village, I would highly recomend reaserching other resorts!

Perfect service, great staff, beautiful new rooms!

It was a very nice resort. The indoor pool was kind of murky. The room was not ready for us when we got there. But otherwise, it was a nice place.

This hotel made me feel inspired: I loved the decorations. There were cute pictures on the wall with hummingbirds and really neat comforter covers with mixes of different textures.
