This hotel is located one block from Macy's department store and four blocks from the Empire State Building. Hotel Features. The hotel lobby features coffered ceilings, original Art Deco accents, a big-screen plasma television and grand chandeliers. Dining options include the authentic Tick Tock Diner, distinguished with chrome columns, black-and-white checkered floors and Art Deco accents. The menu consists of a wide variety American-style breakfast favorites, and a selection of salads, sandwiches, wraps and desserts for lunch and dinner. The semi-formal Cooper's Tavern serves regional American cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner. A business center houses two computer stations and is available, for a fee. A total of 25,000 square feet of function space accommodates events. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas of the hotel. A complimentary fitness center contains stationary bicycles, treadmills, resistance equipment and free weights. A gift shop is located in the lower lobby. Guestrooms. This 21-story hotel offers 912 modern guestrooms enhanced with Art Deco design elements and decorated in earth tones. I stayed one night with a large group, Everyone said they would stay at the New Yorker again. The location was the best part of the hotel. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable. The rooms are small but comfortable.

23 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I arrived at the hotel earlier than expected, and I thought I would have to wait to get to my hotel room. However, they had the room available right away and kindly took care of all the details without any delays. Even though it got annoying that you had to have your key in order to be allowed on the elevator, it made me feel safe and that we were at home at their hotel.
