The New York Helmsley Hotel

It has a very convenient location in midtown Manhattan. It is good value for the money.

It was fine overall, though it looked a bit rundown. I do not care for that location, but that was the choice of my partner's company.

I stayed here for one week and a half and hated every minute of it.

*They gave me free Internet, only to find out later their server was down.

*The Concierge was rude and gave dirty looks when asked for help with my luggage, or when I needed help with expecting packages.

*Room service got my order wrong all 5 times.

*Mindy's restaurant rushed me out of my lunch.

*The front desk got the names wrong on my hotel room.

*The front desk charged my personal credit card when the room was already paid for by my employer. It took a week to reverse the charge!

*The light bulb in the room was blown with broken glass upon arrival.

*The closet door was broken.

*There was a blood stain on the sheets.

I would never recommend this to anyone and rate it a 1 star.

The hotel has a great location, a friendly staff and easy access for public transportation.

This hotel made me feel important: We are always welcomed and remembered from prior visits. They act excited to see us each stay.

It is a good hotel with a great location at a great price. I was very satisfied.

This hotel made me feel entertained: Everything was available for the hours we were in the hotel during a family visit to New York.
