One of Waikiki's best-kept secrets is this boutique hotel. Nestled right on a lovely stretch of beach at the foot of Diamond Head, with Kapiolani Park just across the street. The Waikiki-side guest rooms are tastefully decorated in pale pastels; they open onto large lanais with ocean and park views. As the hotel overlooks Kapiolani Park, guests have easy access to activities such as golf, tennis and cycling. There is also kayaking and snorkeling available at the beach. The hotel can arrange for visitors to climb to the top of Diamond Head with beautifull views. The airy lobby opens onto the alfresco Hau Tree Lanai restaurant, a delightfully romantic beachfront restaurant, set under the same banyan tree that sheltered Robert Louis Stevenson a century ago. The Miyako Restaurant offers gourmet Japanese dining with an ocean view. The beachfront Sunset Lanai Lounge is great for cocktails and has live Hawaiian music at lunch on Friday.

New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel is Waikiki's Quiet Paradise, located beachfront near Kapiolani Park at the Foot of Diamond Head. A place of tranquility and warm island hospitality on beautiful Sans Souci Beach, this hotel offers graceful views of beautiful Hawaiian sunsets and the culinary excellence from the Hau Tree Lanai or Miyako Japanese Restaurant. Just steps away from exciting ocean activities, guests will find just about everything they will need here, including a fully-equipped fitness facility and a surf school. The surf school features professional instructors, and the surf shop rents beach equipment. Located on the second floor of hotel, Juju'be Salon and Clinic uses the Reju'be system which is a combination of scienced esthetic technique, and the healing form of oriental medicine. There are five different food and beverage outlets onsite, offering guests convenience, variety and fine dining. The Hau Tree Lanai Restaurant located on the lobby level is perhaps Honolulu's favorite beachside restaurant. Locals gravitate to its ideal location, just outside Waikiki proper and at the beginning of Diamond Head's Gold Coast.

This hotel has a nice beach, but is a bit of a walk from the strip, which may be unsafe at night. It has no pool but nice rooms, and only valet parking is available.
