44 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

Came with a group of 1200 for a celebration. My room was below expectations. The air conditioner would not cool the room even with the curtains shut and the unit set on 55 for two days. The outside temperature was a pleasant mid 70's during the day and 50's at night, I would hate to be here in the midst of summer.. The hallway was cooler. The minibar did not cool at all. The carpet was filthy and worn out. Eating utensils and glasses, cigarette butts were in the hall leading up to my room and for two days they remained untouched. Maid service entered my room without knocking. TWICE. Unbelievable. The staff's friendliness ranged from extemely pleasant to uncaring. The one thing I do recommend it the performance of "Love" at the Mirage. It was fantastic.

I truly enjoyed our stay at the Mirage. Our room was large, clean, awesome view and the rate was excellent for a view of the strip. We were there for softball so didn't spend all that much time in the casino but it was a great place to stay to get the experience of Las Vegas.

I definitely don't want to say that i was disappointed, just...underwhelmed! We came to vegas to get married and much to our dismay they did not have a chapel! Not a problem though TI is a sister hotel and lucky for us they did have one! Back at Mirage we went to the bar after (in my wedding dress and all done up) and not one word to us by the bartender!! The staff was not overly friendly or accommodating. The Restaurants on the other hand were awesome!! From food to service it was great. Even California Pizza Kitchen was a nice break from a big meal!! The wine bar was pretty sweet, GREAT PEOPLE, great wine and fun people!! The check-in was slow and we were never made to feel welcome to the mirage, just another couple that walked in!! The casino is very dark and smoky and it was a long walk to the elevators. We went mid october and everything was closed and the aquarium was being renovated....to say the least....disappointing!! Nothing to do inside of this casino if you are not a gambler! The rooms were outdated and no better than any other average hotel in buffalo!!, but, our rooms were always spotless with fresh towels. NEEDS UPDATING BADLY!!!! Overall, not a bad experience, clean, comfortable beds, just not the "WOW" that i expected.

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Mirage.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We stay at the Mirage about three times a year. The rooms do need a little up dating, my understanding is they will be doing that in 2008.

We love the Mirage , we get great service(better then most of the other resorts) we always have turn down bed service, the restaurants are good

Kokamo's has one of the best steaks I've had, never a problem with room service, bell hop's are quick with our luggage, we have always been upgraded

to rooms that we like, and the price is fair. The casino is a little dark, they could lighten it up more like it was a few years ago. They seem to be catering to much to the young crowd, leave a little for us old folks.

We just stayed at the Bellagio this past time, and yes it is a beautiful resort and very classy, however two nights out of four they seemed to miss the turn down service, and the staff had already pissed me off within the first 30 minutes we were there. Bellagio is great but we like the Mirage.

I recently stayed at the Mirage and had my money and personal property stolen in my hotel room. When I filed a security report with the hotel, they said they needed time to look into it. Knowing that I do not primarily reside in Las Vegas, no one urgently looked into this matter while I was staying in the hotel for 3-4 days. It took them a week to return a phone call saying that under the Law of Nevada, the hotel is not responsible for money stolen in hotel room. Many different levels of staff reported varying explanations on how many people entered my room during the time when my belongings were stolen. Overall, the hotel did a poor job in taking initiative in looking into the severe matter of theft among their employees. I would advise not to stay at this hotel as it is not a place where you will feel secure leaving your belongings and management are not professional enough to respond to incidences like this.
