Set in its own little world with easy access to all the Napa Valley has to offer, The Meritage Resort and Spa provides visitors an idyllic place to reside as they tour, taste, and play. The sumptuous resort is located a the foot of the Napa Valley; just 40 feet shy of Napa?s renowned Grape Crusher statue on a private 11-acre vineyard. This four-star resort provides an exceptional value and offers affordable luxury.
Meritage guests are pleased to discover they don?t have to go another foot to begin wine tasting. Not only are they greeted with a bottle of wine in their guestroom, the resort is built against a hillside in which a massive cave houses a wine tasting room featuring Trinitas Cellar?s latest releases. This 22,000 square foot cave also houses Spa Terra, an oasis located entirely underground with the cave. Steam grottos, soaking pools, and intriguing water walls encourage relaxation. Ten private treatment rooms are available to individual and couple massages, facials, body wraps and more. Spa Terra focuses on the use of elements that are indigenous to the Napa Valley including fruits, figs, honey, artichokes, olives and, of course, grapes.

Meritage would not honor their own Best Rate Guarantee Policy. Their website says that if you find a lower rate elsewhere, they will match the lower rate and give you an additional 10% off the rate. I found a lower rate on Easy Click Travel.com and they refused to match the lower rate or give me an additional 10%. They actually told me to cancel my reservation that I booked through Meritage website and re-book through EasyClickTravel.com!

I received two nights free to the Meritage Resort because I am a time share owner next door. I was looking forward to this trip for months because the resport looked wonderful online. The room was very disappointing. There was a large area next to the window where there should be a table but there wasn't. There was just one single chair against the wall. Unless you want to eat your room service on the bed where everyone has slept you have no choice but to eat out. There was some kind of yucky stuff all over the wall between the tv and the computer desk. When I turned the shower on, me and the entire bathroom and ceiling were soaked from the leak/hole in the plumbers tape. I had to tie a hand towel around the shower head to take a shower. My room was on the first floor right next to the patio near the pool. At exactly 7am Saturday morning the music that is played outside turned on. Music is wonderful when your sitting outside but not wonderful when you are trying to sleep. I turned on the air conditioner to try and drown out the music. The tray in the bathroom that contains the shampoo was full of mens shaving hair, totally gross. On a positive note, my husband and I enjoyed the spa tremendously. Everyone visiting should experience it. You can get in the steam room or jacuzzi before and after your massage, eat fruit, drink teas, just relex with waterfalls flowing. Take a walk up through the vineyard to the great big man on the hill crushing grapes, great walk for photos. Music playing outside is very relaxing, enjoy firepit at night. Restaurant not bad kids would hate it though. If the room had not been terrible this resort would have been rated excellent by us.

We chose the Meritage for our annual girlfriend getaway with six of us. We enjoyed the spa and all the amenities it had. Wine tasting in the cave was fun, but very basic and limited. We ate at the restaurant once and enjoyed the food, especially the fresh fruit. One highlight was the bonfire at night by the pool while we sipped our wine. We also liked walking in the vines. The Meritage is a bit over-priced, but enjoyable none the less.

I love the sophistication the hotel portrays. The resort is clean and well put together. The lobby was great, I sat on the couch next to the fire with my fiance for a romantic evening. The staff was extremely nice and more than willing to help with any problems I had. I recommend the one bedroom condos, they are GORGEOUS!!! Oh and the spa is the most beautiful spa I have ever seen (and its underground in a cave!!! Thats awesome)!! I definitely recommend staying there.

I Love The Meritage! It was such a great stay. The rooms were gorgous and the views were great. The staff was so friendly and the Spa Cave was amazing. The food there was great. Well worth the price. Wouldnt want to stay anywhere else.
I stay in the napa valley CA area often. This was the 1st and final stay I do at your hotel. Your restaurant staff was poorly trained, and the food was OK not that for the $ you charge people.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The service staff was generally nice, but the service itself was terrible. No one answering phones, unhelpful concierge, and generally unknowledgeable staff. I was expecting a bit more professionalism for the price.
The Siena restaurant food was good, nothing special and way overpriced. Service at the restaurant was ok; again, not what I would expect for the prices we had paid.
