Minutes from swanky West Palm Beach, this B&B is located in the historic and quiet section of Lake Worth, Fla., steps away from antique and boutique shopping. OK dining is accessible by foot, but be wary that some areas of town should not be visited on two feet in the twighlight.
I slept in a simple room and upon hitting the pillow, quickly nested into the down duvet for a good night's sleep. The room was pretty much soundproof and I only heard the other guests when they were in the hallway.
A little welcome basket is placed in each room prior to arrival - nice welcoming touch. Most rooms don't have television, but that's OK. Parking can be a "situation" as it's limited. If you can't park in the driveway, street parking is available. Be aware of one-way streets in this area of town.
The breakfast area is outside on a shaded patio around the pool. Great place to meet other guests or find a corner spot to keep to yourself.
Whimiscal ornaments such as glass balls dot the lawn. Wine and baked goods are served in the evening.
The owners are a husband and wife team. She makes and sells her own pottery at the Inn - the perfect souvenir.
Off season rates are May - early Dec.
