The Lodge at Sunridge Resort

I stayed in a studio apartment for $50 a night. It needed a new paint job and carpet but for $50 it was a good deal. It was clean and had descent sheets and towels. It also had a little kitchen, dining area, washer/dryer, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, etc. They have a pool also. All in all, I would say that for the money it was a very good deal!

This was our third trip to Surprise. Sadly, we were unable to book another room in the Days Inn which is very nice. So we ended up at the Lodge at Sun Ridge.

The room stunk of stale cigarette smoke. The appliances were relatively new. We were not sure why we had two microwaves though. The carpet was filthy and the walls were filthy and full of barren nails where things had once been. The balcony door was off the track, and the windows were in sad shape. It was just an overall bad experience. The best thing was that we were only there to sleep.

I would recommend that you avoid this place unless you truly are not too picky and just need a place to flop for the night. I kindly refer to this place as the "Flop House".

Though the location was good, the place was dirty and falling apart.

Parts of the upper level walkway were patched with plywood. I didn't feel too secure. The construction, in general, was cheap. The carpet in our room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, and that included vacuuming. The floors were dirty. They have just bad housekeeping. The inside door jam had been torn away from the wall and was poorly patched. The refrigerator bins were cracked and had holes. I would never stay here again.

This is a great resort, it had a wonderful atmosphere.
