When we first walked in they had the fireplace going and it felt very welcoming. The front desk was very helpful as far as what restaurants to eat or places to visit. The downtown plaza is only a few streets away. You have a great view of the...
Attractive from the outside but beware of the bed bugs. Waking up from the first night I found I was covered with bug bites that were not there when I went to bed. When I reported it to the manager, he just blew it off and would not refund my mone
Amazing hotel, great view. loved the rooms. pool was closed but the hottub was open. only took 10-15 minutes to walk to the plaza, take the shuttle back though it's an uphill walk back to the Lodge.

I am a past resident of Santa Fe and now reside in California. I was taking my new wife and another couple to show them the sites of one of my favorite cities in the world. It was very crowded because of Indian Market weekend, but I had known the Radissons previous owner so figured it was safe enough.
I was wrong.
I have never seen dirtier, more soiled, stained linens and carpets place in my life! Even my recent visit to Tijuana had more comfortable mattresses.
So, after not sleeping most of the night from the bed, the A/C that didn't work and the loud plumbing (you could hear the flush from the room next door) we went looking for other accommodations.
Thank God La Posada off the plaza had room. The remainder of our trip was glorious.
Unless they gut the place and rebuild it from the inside out, I wouldn't recommend this no matter how desperate you are. Oh yeah, and to help keep the hallways cool, the staff blocks the entrance doors open. I guess you could say it is air-conditioned. The security doors didn't even have locks!

Their check in was like nothing I have ever experienced. Since the clerk couldn't get a credit card verification, he refused to check us in, despite the fact the first night was paid for! He demanded cash only. We had to find a bank and make a withdrawal to be able to check in. My complaints to management that night and the next day were shrugged off and staff found it humorous that millionaires had been turned away for the same reason.
Youd better have cash available if you plan to stay.
On the room: Nice, but king bed was soft. It had private balconies, but it and the outdoor furniture were covered in bird droppings that had not been cleaned off or swept up in a great deal of time. We couldn't use it at all. Walking out and back in again would leave a trail from the bottom of your shoes. At night, the walkways were dangerously dark because none of the imbedded lights in the pathways were turned on, and no overhead lights.
Overall, it was a terrible experience for the money.

After an entire day of travel, checked in only to move 3 times before getting a clean room. This hotel is in dire need of renovation. Many things did not work or were missing. Checked out after only 1 night. The staff was very accommodating and...
