The room was very nice.Service was horrible. Late to wedding because valet could not get the car pulled around in 30 minutes. The Lodge Alley Inn is a beautiful hotel located right near Market St. in downtown Charleston. Those are the only good...

Yes, this inn is conveniently located in downtown Charleston. Yes, it would be fun for people who love the nightlife. No, it is not for families - especially if you have young children. We exchanged this through RCI for a "resort-style" vacation. However, the 2-bedroom villa we stayed in was filthy. I could write my name in the dust on the wood floors. The carpet was sticky in several spots. We had to wash the pots and dishes before using them - they had food residue from previous guests. We have stayed at 18 resorts during the past 10 years - this was the worst of them all.
The staff was friendly, but they could not do anything about intoxicated guests partying in the alley in front of our bedroom.

My daughter, her roommate, her roommate's mom and I had a fantastic stay at the Lodge Alley Inn. The front desk and other check in personnel couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating to us. They were always ready to go the extra distance to help us and answer our questions and make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing.
The inn is located in a very convenient area of historic Charleston, beautifully maintained and it was easy to get around to the various sites and restaurants.
The only negative aspect of our stay was the constant attempts to get us to listen to a "timeshare" talk. But we avoided it, and it was only slightly bothersome.
I definitely recommend this inn to anyone looking for comfort, a friendly atmosphere and good location.

It was great. It was located in the historic district of Charleston. The valet service was nice. The only thing missing was the internet connection in the rooms.
I am very likely
to return to the The Lodge Alley Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
