The location from this hotel for walking tours of the Freedom Trail, Fenway, Bruins etc. is excellent. Staff is good.
Something to keep in mind. Even when you pay extra for the rooms and location, you can not control the other guests. The door slamming and late night/early morning noise made it difficult for a restful sleep.

My husband and I stayed in Boston the last night of our vacation so that we could tour the city and be within walking distance of everything. We chose The Langham because of its location and the labor day discount we got. We were very impressed with everything. Everyone was friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean and plush and everyone who worked there was friendly and professional. When we had a problem with our thermostat, the 'engineer' came and fixed it right a way. If we can afford it the next time we come to Boston, we would definitely stay at the Langham!
