Designed by Deborah Berke, who blueprinted Calvin Klein's stores in the 1990s, The James Chicago Hotel features concise colors with a focus on intricate textures throughout the lobby. Locals flock to David Burke's Primehouse, a Chicago-style steakhouse serving Kentucky Creekstone Farms beef, dry-aged with Himalayan salt bricks lining the restaurant cellar. The James was a wonderful property, with every amenity I could think of. One caveat: their pricing for business meetings was excessive ($500 to show me where to plug in a computer for a monitor).

This hotel is in a great location and just newly re-opened. Everything was great. The room was a good size & had a comfortable decor. Staff was very friendly & helpful with everything we needed! Concierge service was wonderful.
