57 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

When visiting family in this area, we have stayed many times at the Inn at Norton when it was a Holiday Inn. This was our first stay under the new name/owner. What sets this hotel apart from the few local options was the on-site restaurant. You could have breakfast from a menu until lunch and dinner was served, from a menu until 9 or 10:00. Now it's a continental breakfast until 10, M-F, and a buffet on S & S (they said). (Nothing on the Monday Memoral Day holiday.) That doesn't fit our schedule. Dinner is now a buffet with a different emphasis each night, e.g., country cooking, Italian, fish, etc. Bring back your regular restaurant. Rooms are still reasonably clean, cleaning staff is good, but new front desk help need more training. Pool was nice (another perk that the other hotels don't have) but needed cleaning. My biggest complaint is for every hotel room: every room should have 2 comfortable chairs with a high table between them so 2 people can eat, watch TV, read, in comfort. I hate having to sit on the side of the bed to drink my morning coffee. Our room had 2 chairs but one was in a corner with no table and you couldn't see the TV. There is plenty of room to move the beds over so you can sit 2 at the table. But, as everyone knows, everything is screwed down. Also, put TV's on a higher surface so you can see them when laying down.

It was fair. The facilities were aging, though.

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Inn at Norton.
I might recommend it to friends.
