Excellent
member icon Affordable character in Chicago
Posted Apr 11, 07 by LordStarlink, 1 reviews
44 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

There are plenty of fine standard hotels in downtown Chicago, but Internet prices of 200+ a night prompted a quest for other options.

Two Urns is quiet, cozy, not too far from downtown (practically sitting on a subway stop). This B&B is full of quirky character, I loved the collection of old cameras, and the cat-lover in me appreciated the Cat Room, although if standard, generic furnishings are your thing, you should probably go elsewhere. I was grateful for the use of the computer, and enjoyed chatting with likeminded guests at breakfast.

Local dining situation is not great, but "Mas" is certainly a top-quality establishment and quite close (they seated me on a very busy evening), and that will take care of at least one night's dinner.
