Ok hotel, but excellent location. The lobby smells freshly painted/renovated. This hotel was previously a Super 8 Motel, but has become part of the Applecorehotels brand. The free high speed wireless internet is a great perk, as well as a bar on one of the upper levels, which have great happy hour specials. Great for family/business travel on a budget.

Horrible
Lobby was under construction when we stayed in April. Could not use elevator because it was full of old furniture, then they piled it in the lobby. Halls were being painted and loud pounding noises.

based on the reviews the customer service is horrible, how you go tell a guest to walk and charge for the tv and phone oh and towels... but also tried to charge her twice for the room she already paid for and the rollaway bed.. thank god for receipts, and on top of that called a friend to come pick up guest instead of going outside to get them a taxi, i wouldn't of gotten in the truck and whoever came up w/ your not allowed to give the guest the yellow pages? but what do you expect it's new york!!!! i changed my mind about staying here it's plenty hotels in the nyc besides this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to this hotel expecting the worse from the reviews I had read, from bedbugs to mice and dirtiness. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised, my room was clean, there were no bugs or mice and the hotel staff were extremely friendly and nice. ...

Stayed at Super 8 NY first week of Jan.08. Was extremely satisfied with the room. Nice size, warm bathroom floor, good size closet with safe to hold laptop, all new decor, new mattresses and pillows. Was concern about other reviews that I had read, but I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends. Free breakfast, walking distance to shopping and theaters and good restaurants. Also have a Macdonald around the corner and plenty of deli's to eat in. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The hotel was located in the center of everything we wanted to do. We did not have to take any cabs. The hallways and the rooms were small but that was expected in Manhattan. We had a great time.
I am very likely
to return to the The Hotel at Times Square.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

$2100 for 6 days with a AAA discount. The room was somewhat clean. The room had no heat; it would heat for about five minutes then blow cold air. The drapes block the heater/air conditioner apparatus, so if there had been heat I would have had a...
