The Hotel Blue

according to their website this is a nice hotel to be at!! they lied..they only thing that was accurate was the tempupedic mattresses. we went down on a business trip. we checked in..went up the elevator that takes you to this little room (thats filled with cigarette smoke)....you go outside....go into the chemical filled room. it was so small and dirty, that we checked in and checked back out. and they still charged us for a night!! it was the worst hotel that i have seen. and to top everything off.. we paid cash for that 15 minutes that we were there and they still had a hold on our credit card so when we went to the hotel that we did stay at...we had to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and not to pay the hotel blue. it was horrible!!

Sweet place. Good location. Great parking. Great staff. Nice rooms. Nice price.

I stayed there in April of 2005.

Last week I received a letter from the assistant general manager dated Feb. 2nd of 2007 saying I did not pay for my night's stay and I needed to "either call me or send payment for the amount do (sic)..."

Besides being wrong it was grammatically challenged. Feb 2nd was a Friday. On the 5th, a Monday, my credit card was dunned. I hadn't even received the letter by then. If I had sent them a check by return mail I would have paid three times.

Moral: If you really must stay there, pay cash.

I booked two rooms here over the phone and was told they had a 24-hour cancellation policy. I cancelled over a week before, was told all was good and I wouldn't be charged, and then I was! So I called, they said no problem, would refund my money and two weeks later I called again since I hadn't seen the refund, and they said they didn't know anything about it. I spoke with the manager who said she needed a copy of my statement as proof, they can't see that on their end that they charged me? And that it would be 5-15 days after that before I would see the refund. I am incredibly disappointed. I like to stay at non-chain hotels whenever possible, but this service was bad. She wasn't even nice or apologetic about it. At this point I'm talking to my bank for a resolution. Stay away!

To start, the staff is unintelligent and rude. The girl at the front desk ran my AAA card as my credit card, and then argued with me about my debit card being "declined".

On top of that, when I checked my bank statement a few weeks later, they had double charged me. When I called to get a refund, the girl on the phone was very short with me, and placed me on hold for a long time, before coming back on the phone and asking who I was holding for. So I had explain the entire situation again, to which she responded "Oh yea, you'll see it back in your account in 5 to 7 business days". Three weeks later I called back, spoke to the same individual who claimed to have no idea what I'm speaking about, but again says she'll refund the charge, and again gave me the schpeil about "Five to seven business days".

Another two and a half weeks later, I called back at the request of the manager. The manager was extremely rude, and sounded upset that I interrupted her day. When I asked for a confirmation of some kind, she said "She didn't need that, because she had proof that she had done it.", and hung up on me. They did finally credit my card back for the extra charge, but it was not worth the headache it took. The hotel is dingy and misleading. It's a Motel 6 with blue paint.
