Staff is incredibly rude. Cool modern aesthetics, however very dimly lit rooms made it impossible to work in my room. Would highly suggest some additional lighting and Wi Fi access.

No bath tubs. This hotel is rich in Hollywood history , the location is on the walk of fame, it is very eclectic-better suited for under 50 y/o, atmosphere very dark but kind of cool, pool area/bar is fabulous! Valet parking $28 a day.
50 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The historic hotel has a beautiful lobby. The pool area is interesting. Our room was small, but that's often the case in renovations like this. The staff was friendly. The location is good. We were here for a conference so that's why we stayed.
On the downside, our room had no place to put our clothes. There was a nice space to put a dresser, but there wasn't one. The bath had no shelf - if you travel with toiletries this is *not* the hotel for you.
My personal pet peeve is that they closed the lobby and pool for a private party on Saturday night. We're paying guests and yet we couldn't use the facilities. (BTW, the private party looked like quite a bust, just a few spinning divas on a small dance floor. I think they thought they were looking cool, but to me they just looked sad.)
I recommend that you find some where else to stay.
