Well, the room size was OK, bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom is a bit on the smaller side. Make sure you do not stay close to service elevator, otherwise you won't be able to sleep because of constant noise.
The staff lacks basic manners, valet management was terrible, they could not locate our car key for 20min, and told us they could not find it, I'm not sure what we were expected to do! As if it was not enough we were late for a dinner arrangement, valet manager tried to accuse us for being unreasonable, telling us we just checked in 10 minutes ago and we cannot expect our key to be ready that soon, funny thing this technology!
On our valet ticket, time we left our car was recorded, and it was 45 min prior to our conversation with polite valet staff! Do not bother to put a "do not disturb" sign on your door, room service staff is very loud in the morning, you'll wake up no matter what.
And last but not least, we attempted to try pool side bar late at night, one of us did not have an ID on, so we had to go back to our car, by the time we were back, security informed us we cannot be let in to pool area. Well, reason was they were closing, interesting point was, there was a group ahead of us who were going in and trying to bargain to be permitted to take 2 more friends with them. I have no idea why I cannot go to an area in my hotel since they are not actually closed. Security's attitude and tone was not pleasant either. I guess we should consider ourselves lucky since we witnessed security being ruder to some our guests! Bottom line, small guys working for valet were nice, front desk services were efficient, location is awesome, but is it worth if you're treated like this? NO! There are many alternatives and I'll surely consider those next time! You can get better service for your money.

Location & friendly staff. Some of the furnishings needed attention (i.e. curtains, carpets etc). Great hotel for Hollywood location, suitable for business or couples. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I wasn't blown away by the hotel itself, but the location is perfect. And there's always something going on. Plenty of star-spotting to be had. The service levels were good and the rooms were adequate but far from exceptional. Mind you, I was there...
Friendly staff, location.Very expensive parking, maid service language barrier. Ice machine only one on 12th floor only. Elevators at least one broke down almost daily. There is $28 mandatory valet only parking --expensive. Maid all speak Spanish,...

Mediocre
Room was very small and not what I had confirmed on line. Air conditioning was as loud as I have ever experienced beyond a $* motel room with a widow air conditioner. Hotel very trendy but clearly not worth the price.

Okay
It was nice being close to the Hollywood tour lines. The concierge was not helpful or accurate. Neither the staff, lobby area, restaurants nor pool were family friendly. We were going for location and price, but wish we'd gotten a different hotel.

The location was excellent because we attended an event at the Kodak Theater across the street. We could see the Hollywood sign from our room. The 1920's lobby was great. We had to ask housekeeping to clean our room one day because they missed it.
I am not likely
to return to the The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.
