This is really a condo resort, it used to be a Hampton Inn. It is a small resort. I was stuck in a studio-code name for a hotel room. Pool area was nice, so called beach was an old boat ramp, I'm not even sure if you're allowed to swim in it. It is airerated to keep it from turning scummy. The Tiki bar is a joke. very limited food and drinks, odd hours, closed around 9:30 PM. The coolest thing I say about the place is they have little geckos and large iguanas, maybe 2 1/2 to 3 foot long bodies roaming around. Area beaches are hard coral, very hard on the feet. Nearby state parks are pay to enter, not worth the $6 bucks. I spent 3 days in Key West which is just over an hours drive away.

28 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The suite was great and I would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel made me feel hip: I had never been to this area and the hotel personnel knew a lot about the area and the activities available.

I am not likely to return to the The Hammocks at Marathon.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

40 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We stayed in a studio-next time we will get a one -bedroom. Sunsets were awesome. Pool was too small and shallow (only 4 1/2 feet deep). Staff was courteous and helpful. Location was great, not too far from Key West and a pleasant drive there. One of the greatest things we did was visit the Turtle rescue place within walking distance of the resort. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to others.

I am very likely to return to the The Hammocks at Marathon.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I stayed in a studio. It was a clean resort with a friendly staff. There's no room internet access, only a shared PC in lobby that was a bit busy.

The bar is only beer/wine, but they can make a daiquiri and margarita with 'imitation' (wine based) tequila/rum.

The workout room is a bit sparse, but no one was ever in there when I was there.

There's no beach, but they have a nice pool. There's not much food there, but the Tiki Bar has adequate rations from noon to 8 pm.

There's plenty of Tarpon to feed, bring your bait with you to see them attack it (but no fishing in the marina).

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Hammocks at Marathon.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
